JUCO Top 25: March 27 | Top 250 Junior College Prospects

There was quite a bit of movement in this week's edition of the JuCo Top 25 Teams, as four newcomers are welcomed to the rankings in addition to quite a bit of shuffling among the remaining teams. Walters State (Tenn.) remains in the No. 1 spot, as they enjoy a 26-game winning streak and sit at an impressive 34-3 overall. Following them in the Top 5 are San Jacinto (Texas), who moved up one spot to No. 2, San Joaquin Delta (Calif.), who jumped a pair of spots to No. 3, Central Arizona at No. 4, after tumbling a couple spots, and Connors State (Okla.), who rises into the Top 5 for the first time this season.

McLennan (Texas) stays steady in the No. 6 spot this week followed by Wabash Valley (Ill.) at No. 7, up one spot from a week ago. Chipola (Fla.) rises a pair of spots after a huge series win and checks in at No. 8 followed by Crowder (Mo.) at No. 9 and Santa Fe (Fla.) at No. 10, their first entry into the Top 10 this season.

Notables:

• Chipola (Fla.) won a huge series over the course of the weekend when they took three of four from Northwest Florida State, who was ranked 18th at the time. The defending National Champions, Chipola had a bit of a rough start to the year by their standards, but certainly isn't having any issue right now as they sit with a record of 29-9 overall.

• Newcomers this week include Harford (Md.) at No. 19, Southern Idaho at No. 21, Fort Scott (Kan.) at No. 22 and Jefferson College (Mo.) at No. 23. Harford and Jefferson College are re-entries to this list, having been on here before at various times. Southern Idaho finds themselves ranked for the first time this season after a four-game sweep of previous No. 4 Southern Nevada, while Fort Scott is in a similar situation, finding themselves ranked for the first time after sweeping Neosho County.

• Cisco (Texas) ran into a bit of trouble for the first time this season, splitting a four game series with Grayson. It was a big first test for Cisco, as they still have to see No. 6 McLennan for four games as well as a solid Weatherford club for four more.

Rankings are based on games through Sunday, April 1.
