Off the Board: International Signing

While Off the Board has focused on the high school and junior college crop of players stateside, Perfect Game has seen an increasing number of international players attend both showcases and tournaments, providing scouts an opportunity to see them play stateside. Rafael Devers made his MLB debut with the Boston Red Sox this past season and signed with the Sox as a 16-year old just months after a strong performance at the World Showcase, a stage where Brazilian righthander Eric Pardinho shined last year before inking a deal for $1.4 million with the Toronto Blue Jays. Bahama native and shortstop Keithron Moss put together a steady display of tools and results throughout the summer and fall with the Midland Redskins organization and is the latest player to sign a professional contract.

Keithron Moss, ss, Texas Rangers
Fast-twitch SS, smooth/balanced actions
Easy plus-speed plays on both sides of ball
Switch-hitter, present contact skills with gap strength
• Hit .375 at WWBA Underclass World Championships
• Signed for 800K per Ben Badler
