Luke Langford is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends Poway. Features a lean, athletic build. Right-handed pitcher. Utilizes a loose, easy arm action down the mound. USes a longer arm swing with good extension out front. Ball comes out of a 3/4 slot cleanly. The fastball sat 79-81 mph with some armside run. Still refining the overall command of the offering. Pairs it with a changeup and curveball. Creates tons of diving life on the low-70’s changeup. Quality arm speed deception allows the offering to tunnel well off the heater. Also showcased the ability to land short, downer curveball in the mid-70’s. Flashes ability to create late bite. Intriguing profile as a whole. Has feel for three-pitches with plenty of projectability. Very good student.
