2022 WWBA Workout Showcase (July 15)
Jack Dowell is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-0 215 lb. frame from Lafayette, IN who attends William Henry Harrison. Recorded a 7.35 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with solid, strong build for a primary catcher. Side saddle setup with strength in his lower half while featuring clean exchange to release with quickness from over-top slot producing throws at 73-mph. Athleticism is apparent behind the plate, receiving with lateral quickness and ability to gain ground quickly with fluidity out of his stance, moving direct to target producing 2.21 second pop time. Left-handed hitter with square stance and small stride to start swing. Impact to pull, as hands stay inside the ball well, with bat speed and ability to get the barrel out front with extension at contact. Strong lower half and feel for the barrel, produces leverage results with carry to the gaps. Good student.
