Malachi Paplanus is a 2024 RHP/2B with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from Lake In The Hills, IL who attends Huntley. Strong present build. Works from a closed stretch position and lands closed out front, rotational delivery with an extended 3/4's arm slot. Fastball worked in the 85-88 mph range with good running life at times. Slider was his best pitch this outing, can use it any count, gets tight spin with some late biting action. Throws strikes and has an idea what he's doing on the mound. Good student.
