Kaden Matthews is a 2024 OF/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Valparaiso, IN who attends Valparaiso. He has a good frame with a slender build and room to add strength. Ran the sixty yard dash in 7.77 seconds. Primary outfielder that approaches the ball with choppy steps and fields it off his front foot close to his body. He has a big crow hop and throws this a long, circular arm action. Secondary right-handed pitcher that has a knee to belt leg kick. He lands slightly closed off, giving him some crossfire effect. He has a medium arm action and fires from a 3/4 arm slot. He has a heavy fastball and his curveball has nice depth. Also worked out in the infield, working well to both sides of his body. Right-handed hitter that starts in an even and narrow base. Uses a simple stride for timing. He has has a low swing path and finishes with a high follow through. Excellent student.
