Davis Webb is a 2023 1B/LHP with a 6-6 215 lb. frame from Tipton, IA who attends Tipton. Recorded a 8.28 second sixty yard dash time. Extra large frame with plenty of room to fill, long levers with exciting physical projection. Graded out higher as a pitcher. Primary first baseman with long actions and developing foot speed, has an idea of the fundamentals. Left-handed hitter with a with narrow stance and a low and deep hand set. Big toe tap trigger, limited separation created at present, long swing with occasional line drive contact. Has some strength in the hands, will improve as he uses the lower half more effectively. Secondary left-handed pitcher with a clean operation, stays in line well and shows a long and loose arm action with some plunge in the back. Throws across his body some with deception to the look, does things super easy on the mound, fastball shows natural cut across the zone. Ran his fastball up to 85 mph in this event. Flashed a slider with slight sweep across the zone, still developing his secondary pitches but a slider will be very effective from his slot. Has some things to refine and develop, exciting prospect with a high ceiling on the mound. Will be fun to watch his development moving forward. Great student.
