Charles Ream is a 2023 1B/RHP with a 6-1 167 lb. frame from Altadena, CA who attends Pasadena. Primary first baseman with good size and length. Fields it cleanly with good accuracy. Able to make a few webs and take it himself. Secondary right-handed pitcher. Throws from a high-three quarter slot. Quick arm speed, fastball topped 72 mph with a pair of off-speeds in a curveball and changeup at 62 mph. Shows some feel for spin, breaker has some tight occasional bite. Right-handed batter with a bent setup and low handset. Short and compact swing, up-the-middle approach. Has some present strength and generates backspin. Excellent student.
