Matthew Bressler is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Buffalo Grove, IL who attends Adlai E Stevenson. He has an average frame with a slender build. Ran the sixty yard dash in 6.82 seconds. Primary shortstop that showed athletic, twitchy movements to both directions. He has clean footwork and is consistently able to get into the right fielding position. His hands are soft, and he does a nice job transferring the ball cleanly. His throws were on target and his arm strength will continue to improve as he gets stronger. He starts with a slightly open stance at the plate and uses a small leg lift and replace trigger for timing. He has a high back elbow and an up-the-middle approach. His swing path creates natural loft that will lead to extra base hits as he continues to fill out and add strength. Excellent student.
