Jacob Quintero is a 2028 OF/RHP/UT with a lean 5-10 125 lb. frame from Bakersfield, CA who attends Ridgeview. Started off the event clocking a 8.27 60-yard dash. A primary outfielder that pitches as well. Defensively, Quintero made all the required routine plays working through the baseball with active feet, clean transfers. The arm is developing currently but accurate to the bases. Offensively, he starts in a tall, narrow stance using a mild leg kick trigger mechanism before firing to contact. Showed a longer swing path but barreled balls to the pull side consistently. Got good extension on the swing producing line-drives with backspin. On the mound, he features a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) out of a 3/4 slot. Has simple, repeatable mechanics, clean arm-action and the ability to throw all of his offerings for strikes. Hides the ball well which adds to his deception. Breaking ball showed sweeping traits. Posted one quick inning of work.
