Ryan Watson is a 2026 1B/RHP/3B with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Virginia Beach, VA who attends Frank W. Cox. Medium current build, young athlete with emerging strength and plenty of time to build. Primary 1B, bending at the waist to present glove nicely out front. Deep funnel to midline transfer, lower arm angle showing 74 mph across the diamond. Showed some feel around the bag, footwork will clean up with maturity. Reps in OF, deliberate to the ball and squaring up well. More arm strength ahead of him with present accuracy up to 73 mph here. Secondary RHP, 1B side of rubber into abbreviated leg lift to the belt. High to low hands back up to break at the chest into nicely inline arm path working over the top. Showed good core rotation to build energy and arm speed. Stayed around the zone with all pitches. FB up to 76 mph with good spin in the 2,100+ range and SL in the mid-60's with mostly horizontal shape. Solid foundation on the mound for the future. RHH working with an even stance, quick trigger, hands even at shoulder and barrel laid back to start. Hands working to accelerate the bat head, pull oriented approach with some strength. Bat projects well. Outstanding student, very young but good two-way potential on the field.
