2021 Southern California Prospect Showcase
Trevor Young is a 2022 C/OF with a 5-10 170 lb. frame from La Mesa, CA who attends Helix. Medium athletic build with some present strength and room for more. 7.24 runner in the sixty. Has good flexibility and lower half quickness behind the plate defensively, comes out of his crouch well, shows good arm strength and carry on his throws, multi-part arm stroke can be smoothed out. Also plenty athletic enough to play the outfield. Right handed hitter, shifts hard into contact and gets into his lower half, swings with intent and gets extended out front, looking to pull and drive the ball and has the strength and bat speed to do that. Excellent student. Named to the Southern California Prosepct Showcase Top Prospect List.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
