2022 New York Indoor Showcase (Sunday)
Antonio Mastellone is a 2024 RHP/OF with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Mahopac, NY who attends Mahopac. Mastellone works from a medium build with strength present. Has additional time to continue filling out the frame as a '24 prospect. From his primary spot on the bump, the righty worked exclusively from the stretch starting from the 1B side of the rubber, using his base well to get downhill and throw strikes up to 72 mph. Mastellone mixed in a slider as his go to off speed pitch to keep hitters off balance. Expect the mechanics to refine and velocity to increase in the future. In the OF, he got behind the ball well and produced accurate throws up to 78 mph. Offensively, Mastellone started from an even balanced stance with consistent pull side to middle of the field contact. He got on top of the ball with the ability to get the barrel out in front. Posted an exit velo of 77 mph.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
