Tyler Barton is a 2024 SS/RHP, IF, OF with a 5-8 150 lb. frame from Cincinnati, OH who attends Turpin. Medium frame with slender, compact build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.78 seconds. Hits from open-based stance with low back elbow, big leg lift trigger to load, gains ground and closes self off, flat inside-out bat path with late launch, opposite field approach. Worked out in the infield, hands clean out front, shows adequate range, good feel for backhand mechanic, clocked up to 77 mph on throws across. Also pitched, worked from the stretch, shorter stride with clean arm stroke, fastball worked 72-73 mph with arm side run, flashed curveball with 11/5 shape. Good job of throwing strikes. Very good student.
