Trent Buckley is a 2027 RHP/1B/OF with a 6-5 200 lb. frame from Columbia, MS who attends Columbia Academy. Outstanding young pitcher's build, very projectable physically. Standard side step/leg raise delivery, lands closed out front for a crossfire angle, clears his front side well, arm is fast and the ball comes out easily. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, has been up to 91 mph at events since, going to be a very hard thrower, gets some cutting action at times due to his delivery. Threw a soft mid-70's slider as his breaking ball, gets some two-plane depth to it, has plenty of time to continue to refine his secondary stuff. Very good runner for his size, 6.78 in the sixty. Played first base at this event when not on the mound, has the tools to play the outfield as well. Left handed hitter, hits from a medium base with an open front foot, long and leveraged swing with a pull side approach, handles the barrel well and repeats his timing, has some lift in his swing, creates bat speed without much effort. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
