Davis Gaucher is a 2024 3B/RHP/1B with a 6-2 185 lb. frame from Richmond, VA who attends Godwin. Extra big and strong build for a 2025, going to be a big young man with maturity. Right handed hitter, hits with a split hand grip, loads back to start his swing and tends to stay on his back side, late hand hitch load can leave him mistimed, has some strength at contact when he gets the barrel into the zone on time. 8.40 runner in the sixty. Primary third baseman on defense, arm worked well and gets some carry with good accuracy on his throws. Also pitched and had a solid outing on the mound with some future potential there. Has an easy low effort delivery with a low 3/4's arm slot, gets consistent big sinking action on a fastball that topped out at 75 mph. Tends to slow his body and arm on a mid-60's slider. Good student.
