Luke Skarda is a 2029 1B/RHP with a 6-1 210 lb. frame from Cibolo, TX who attends Byron P Steele. Large, broad shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.36 60-yard dash. Primary first baseman, plays back on the ball, fields it out front cleanly with glove work, quick exchange out and shows accurate throws with carry and arm strength to the intended base. Also pitched, deliberate tempo with a full wind up, leg lift just up above the belt; full arm path through the back working to a lower three-quarters release. Fastball shows running life up to 81 mph, worked it to both sides of the plate. Pitched to contact, mixed a curveball up to 68 mph with short depth through the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a wide baes and a high back elbow in the box; utilizes a hanging leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Incorporates physical strength well into swing, remained on time throughout round and found the barrel routinely. Hard jump when squared to the pull side, posted a 91 mph exit velocity in testing.
