Geronimo Fermin is a 2028 LHP with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Florida Virtual School. Young, athletic build with wide shoulders and long limbs, room to fill throughout moving forward. Left-handed pitcher, begins with a high leg lift at start of delivery, works exclusively out of the stretch, shorter arm stroke through the backside with quickness to shoulder working to a high three-quarters release point. Some drop and drive through lower half, lands slightly closed with strike foot coming down the mound. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, creates some deception and locates to arm side with comfort, velocity projects moving forward and showing nice refinements in control already. Curveball shows 1-7 shape on curveball up to 64 mph with nice shape and flashed a changeup with cut action at 70 mph. Nice tools to build on moving forward. Excellent student. Named to the PG Colombia Top Prospect List.
