Andrew Edwards is a 2029 OF/RHP/3B with a 5-7 143 lb. frame from Lynbrook, NY who attends The Stony Brook. Recorded a 7.41 second sixty yard dash time. Good frame with a lean frame and room to fill. Primary outfielder with choppy feet with solid glovework into a deep in-line arm path with a high release and some carry. Secondary first baseman with some feel for the angles with solid feeds and a quick arm. Also threw on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a full windup from the third base side of the rubber with small side-step into a letter-high leg lift and a medium, in-line stride down the mound. Hands start at the face and drop to the chest before working above the back shoulder and separating into a long takeaway and whipping the arm through from a three- quarter angle. The fastball (1868 RPM) was mid-to-upper 70s to low-80s and topped out at 82. The curveball (2091 RPM) was mid-60s and can get a little slurvy at times with some 11-5 action to the pitch and flashed good upside when thrown with conviction. Left-handed hitter starts from a wide base with slightly closed feet and a high handset with a high back elbow, utilizes a small step forward. Gets on plane well and flashed some pull-side fly balls. Exciting player with upside as he squares the ball up more and showed tools defensively.
