Ellis Seideman is a 2029 1B/LHP/OF with a 5-11 180 lb. frame from Flower Mound, TX who attends Marcus. Medium build with good present strength. Left handed hitter, sets up in a narrow and open stance with a short stride into square, has some strength in his swing, looks to turn and pull, stays connected well, 99 mph EV in batting practice, line drive plane at present. 7.64 runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman on defense, fields with sure hands with a clean transfer and release, takes extra steps on throws across the infield. Also worked out in the outfield, tends to wait back on the ball then build momentum into his throws, slower release, has some young arm strength with more there with better footwork into his throws. Took a turn on the mound, works from an abbreviated wind up with a coil over the rubber and a cross body release out front, extended low 3/4's arm slot, repeats his mechanics well. Threw a fastball up to 82 mph with good command to both sides, got some cutting action glove side and some run arm side. Showed nice feel for spinning a sweeping slider, has an idea how to mix his pitches and change speeds. Has two-way potential on the mound.
