Kyptin Wilson is a 2029 C/RHP, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, MIF, IF with a 5-0 125 lb. frame from Senoia, GA who attends East Coweta. Young, narrow shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout and develop physically moving forward. Ran a 9.55 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, taller set up behind the plate in drills, receives the ball out front, tighter release with a short arm action through the backside, low throws down to second base with developing arm strength, will continue to refine lower half mechanics. Takes shorter strides moving to the ball in the dirt, accurate throws on to first base, showed ability to drop slot on throws when needed. Also pitched, side step into a hip high knee lift, on line stride down the mound and can implement additional lower half into drive. Similar arm action through the backside working to a three-quarters release point; fastball topped out at 58 mph, showed natural running life on the pitch and able to miss some bats with curveball, slurvey finish up to 51 mph. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow in set up. Utilizes a short stride moving into contact, loads hands back at start of swing; movement to hands with a contact oriented approach, showed comfort working to the middle of the field.
