Jack OMalley is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 6-6 245 lb. frame from Irvine, CA who attends Crean Lutheran. Extra-Large frame with an already filling out build showing broad shoulders and a sturdy lower half. Ran a 7.90 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with an overall simple delivery as he drops & drives. Compact delivery as he stays balanced before releasing with intent. Shorter arm circle to a three-quarter slot release point. Heavy fastball that jumps out of hand that was up to 81 mph. Changeup showing hard tumble that he tunneled very well off the heater. Mixed in a curveball showing short downhill bite with 11-to-5 movements. Pounded the zone with all three pitches. Projects on the mound with more velocity in the tank. Secondary First Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he receives it with a wide base. Confident with the glove as he scooped it up before working into throws. Young footwork showing turning two but was accurate with the arm. Right-Handed Hitter, starting balanced with lots of hand movements. Toe tap to stride as he throws weight well into a violent swing. All or nothing type cuts as he proved he could lift the baseball for power. Very loud contact when he squared it up and projects more power down the road. Great Student.
