Nick Villamar is a 2024 C/1B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Irvine, CA who attends Orange Lutheran. He ran a 8.01 second sixty. A primary catcher with a larger athletic frame. Behind the plate eh starts with a square stance receiving the ball well out front as he gains a lot of ground with developing foot speed, the transfer and release are decent with young arm strength recording a 2.06 second pop time. Right-handed hitter, starts with an even base using a hanging leg lift with very little hand movement, the barrel gets through the zone with developing hand speed and inconsistent timing, will find more consistency with the barrel as he matures and gains better feel for the rhythm of the swing.
