Ryder Romano is a 2030 3B/RHP/1B with a 5-9 160 lb. frame from Matthews, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Medium, square shouldered frame with present strength proportioned throughout. Ran an 8.23 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, shows a quick first step in actions and gets quick in tempo, glove plays well out front with a sound exchange through a longer transfer, shows comfort to switch slot and remain accurate on throws across the diamond, arm strength will continue to develop. Also pitched, side step at start of delivery, gets tall on the backside with a slight coil at the top of belt high leg lift; high three-quarters release with a medium length arm stroke through the back. Fastball topped out at 71 mph, worked around the zone and pitched to contact, mixed a curveball up to 62 mph with 11-5 shape, tends to slow arm at release. Right-handed hitter, begins with a medium base and a high hand set in the box, utilizes a striding load moving into contact. Swings with intent and gets the barrel through the zone, best contact when connected in swing. Works on a linear path through the zone, impact strength to the pull side, tools to build upon.
