Sam Michaelis is a 2025 OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Nashotah, WI who attends Arrowhead. medium, square shouldered frame with a lean build and room to fill throughout moving forward. ran a 7.22 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball to the side, moves well to the ball and can continue to maintain momentum through release, shorter arm action, tends to get uphill with release at times, shows accuracy to the intended base, overall arm strength and carry will continue to develop. Right-handed hitter, begins with a slightly open and spread stance with a hand set away from the body and a high back elbow; gets closed with front side moving into contact. Keeps hands inside the ball and stays short to it upon launch, worked to the middle and pull side parts of the field with some comfort, can refine lower half mechanics in swing and generate additional weight shift moving into contact. Very good student.
