Ryan Kruse is a 2022 3B/RHP with a 6-0 215 lb. frame from Pleasant Ridge, MI who attends University Of Detroit Jesuit. Big and strong well proportioned build. Right handed hitter, high back elbow load that creates some length in his swing, rotational swing with some hip torque but can get into his strong lower half better for more bat speed, gets the ball into the air consistently and projects plenty of power with adjustments and more extension through contact. 7.19 runner in the sixty. Works behind the ball well on defense at third base, surrounds it well with a good funnel, has some hand quickness, light on his feet for his size and charges the ball well, solid overall defensive actions with plenty of raw arm strength across the diamond. Also pitched, has a well balanced delivery with a 3/4's arm slot, short stride out front. Fastball topped out at 85 mph with good running action down in the zone, when upstairs at peak velocity a couple of times for swing/miss. Tends to slow his body on his curveball but has some feel for throwing the pitch for strikes. Two-way prospect. Good student. Named to the Great Lakes Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
