Michael Joyce III is a 2024 RHP/1B/3B/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Costa Mesa, CA who attends Costa Mesa. A bigger frame with some present strength. Ran a 7.59 60-Yard dash. Primary RHP starting with a small side step and above the belt leg kick with a medium stride length down the mound. Sits on the backside and stays on top of the ball well with a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball was in the upper 70's and located well around the zone. Threw two distinct breaking balls: a curve with 11-5 shape and a slider with tight rotation and late break. Slider is better right now. Also mixed in a change up that had some fading action. Worked out at 1B, 3B and the OF defensively. Shows developing footwork, glove work and average arm strength at each spot. Hit from a wider base and square stance with simple load stride timing. Flatter bat path through the zone, more strength than bat speed at present, with a solid oppo gap stroke at his best and some pull side pop as well. An outstanding student.
