2020 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Garrett Porter is a 2022 OF/ with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Valrico, FL who attends Homeschool. Recorded a 7.86 second sixty-yard dash time. Medium, strongly built frame with some length his limbs and room to add strength. Primary outfielder with aggressive actions into the fielding process, reading the hops well and maintaining momentum into release. Relatively clean actions, fielding slightly off to the side and gathering quickly into his throwing motion. Recorded arm strength up to 80 mph during the outfielder's portion of the workout. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high hand set, high back elbow and big hanging leg lift trigger. Gap-to-Gap approach with short, slightly downward swing plane and some strength through contact. Displayed fairly consistent bat-to-ball skills with developing feel for the barrel. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Excellent Student.
