Austin Smith is a 2026 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends IMG Academy. Medium build with some present strength. Primary catcher on defense, sets up in an off set stance, has good fundamental footwork and repeats his actions, longer arm action and exchange, makes accurate throws. Also worked out in the outfield, has good footwork coming through the ball and into his throws, showed some arm strength from a high 3/4's arm slot and made accurate throws. Right handed hitter, sets up in a straight stance with a short and simple load and shift into contact, front side will pull off at times, uphill swing plane that created consistent top spin, has some bat speed to continue to develop. Good student.
