2026 PG National West Showcase
Brody Ricci is a 2028 2B/RHP/UT with a 6-0 150 lb. frame from Las Vegas, NV who attends Ed W Clark. Features a medium sized lean build with some projection. Ran a 8.00 60-yd dash. Showed quality actions in both the OF and INF. Slower initial approach in the OF but works through it and fields it out front and clean. Longer AA which produced uphill throws to the bag with below avg. strength but accuracy. In the INF, shows some feel for how to move on the dirt. Lighter feet than in the OF that work through the baseball well with soft hands. Quick release on the backhand and got off accurate throws across with similar below avg. strength as in the OF but this time with a shorter arm action. Was comfortable moving through the slow roller as well. At the plate, operates from a medium base with a mix of a toe tap and slight leg lift. Shows a level bat path that stays connected through with avg. bat speed and limited strength at impact. Flashes of good barrel whip out front. Showed a middle approach that produced a majority of line drives during his BP round. On the mound, he side steps into a hip high lift. Early push of the rubber with minimal sit/hinge. Lands on-line within a smaller stride and soft finish. Low effort mover overall. Shows a slight stab out the back that then works to a normal 3/4 slot with avg. armspeed to release. Worked the fastball up to 78, living more mid 70s where it flashed sinking action. Mixed in a low 60s breaking ball with loose spin but had the ability to land it for strikes
