Ben Davis is a 2022 C/RHP/1B with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Fulton, MD who attends Reservoir. Big and strong athletic build, especially in his lower half. Left handed hitter, hits from a slightly open stance with a simple and well controlled load and trigger, short swing with good extension out front, pretty low tension operation, has some lift out front and the ability to turn the barrel and drive the ball, ball comes off the barrel loudly and hard, has the hitting tools to continue to develop at the next level. 7.51 runner in the sixty. Showed nice game actions in drills, well schooled in his fundamentals and repeats his footwork well, compact arm and exchange, has plenty of arm strength and carry on his throws. Also pitched, has a compact catcher's arm action on the mound, works from the stretch with some energy to his delivery, firm front side to throw off of. Fastball topped out at 81 mph with nice running action. Also showed good tilt to his slider and threw both pitches aggressively for strikes. Very good student. Named to the Spring Atlantic Coast Top Prospect List.
