2022 Southeast Prospect Showcase
Austin Williamson is a 2024 SS/RHP, 2B, 3B, IF, OF with a 6-2 150 lb. frame from Snellville, GA who attends Grayson. Austin has some athleticism that translate to be able to play infield and outfield well. The arm strength is good and shows good carry from the outfield with a long loose arm action. Good mobility both ways allows him to play up the middle on the infield. Austin shows some skill at throwing strikes with three pitches and uses them all to keep hitters honest. His fastball is true but gets some swings & misses, the curveball is a work in progress as arm speed slows down, but changeup shows good separation in velocity and has bottom. In the box, Williamson has a downward swing path into the zone and some extension through contact when right and gets good drive and carry on balls hit to the big part of the field.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
