Jharell Valerio is a 2027 RHP/OF with a 5-9 126 lb. frame from Houston, TX. Long and lean young build. Works out of the stretch with a short and clean arm action, loose arm out front, stays on line well down the mound. Fastball worked in the low 60's and touched 64 mph, has some sink and run and threw his fastball for strikes, more velocity there as he gets stronger. Did a good job of landing a soft curveball for strikes as well. 7.56 runner in the sixty. Plays outfield when not on the mound, fields the ball out front cleanly, not much momentum into his throws, long high 3/4's arm stroke. Right handed hitter, hits from a narrow start with a big leg raise and sudden deep hand load, lots going on to start his swing, long swing path with mostly opposite field contact, showed good barrel accuracy in the games. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
