Michael Karlin is a 2023 RHP/MIF, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Chandler, AZ who attends Arizona College Prep Erie. Medium slender build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to develop. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm circle in the back that comes up to a high three-quarters slot. Small gather step into a mid leg lift that he closes off into as he lifts. Fastball up to 72 mph, likes to locate it to his arm side. Mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped breaking ball that he kept low in the zone. Also throws a 64 mph slider that has a lower trajectory to the plate. In the infield, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Developing fluid actions, makes the routine play consistently. At the plate, uses an open and upright stance with a simple stride trigger. Hands work direct to the baseball, middle of the field approach, excellent student in the classroom as well.
