Luis Hiraldo is a 2022 RHP/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Windsor, CT who attends Windsor. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean and projectable build, has room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.29 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, works exclusively out of the stretch, high leg lift up past belt, gathers on backside with a long arm action through the back, gets up to a three-quarter release. Fastball topped out at 69 mph, creates some cut to the pitch, lands slightly closed with strike foot coming down the mound. Late life to fastball proved effective, pitched to contact and able to miss some bats with life; mixed a short breaking ball up to 62 mph. Fields ball to side in the outfield, young actions, shorter arm action on throws, gets under ball at release, can implement additional lower half into actions. Righthanded hitter, begins with a high hand set and lower back elbow, subtle shift through lower half, occasionally gets to front side early. Stays short with swing path through zone, contact oriented approach, shows comfort working to pull side, gets around the ball at times. Good student.
