Mark Osorio is a 2022 C/2B with a 5-7 160 lb. frame from Manchester, CT who attends Manchester. Medium, square shouldered frame with some present strength to frame and additional room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.63 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, begins with a lower set behind the plate, receives the ball out front, tall actions and can continue to implement additional footwork into release, long arm action shows accuracy down to second base and repeats actions, arm strength will continue to develop. Righthanded hitter, begins with a bent knee and crouched stance with a high hand set and back elbow pulled back with a slightly open stance. Gets closed moving into contact, subtle shift through lower half, looks to lift at point of contact. Contact oriented approach, shows ability to work to the opposite field, keeps hands inside the ball. Very good student.
