Taylor Alvey is a 2022 1B/RHP with a 6-6 227 lb. frame from Hollywood, MD who attends St. Mary's Ryken. XL frame with long, projectable build; ran 60 yard dash in 8.16 seconds. Hits from spread, even-based stance with rigid hand set, high back elbow, very small load and shift, mostly stationary in lower half, strength and leverage there when on time, power projects. Worked out at 1B, feet are fine around the bag, fields cleanly, unfurling arm stroke, clocked up to 78 mph. Also pitched, works from stretch, overtop arm slot with good plane to the plate, fastball worked 76-81 mph, showed slow curveball as well, nice upside on the mound. Very good student.
