Tommy Turner is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Coventry, RI who attends Coventry. Strong athletic build. Throws from a high 3/4's arm slot, lands open with his front side but is consistent with his timing and rotation and repeats his mechanics well. Fastball worked in the low 90's and topped out at 93 mph, mostly straight. Slider was his go to pitch this outing and he went to it often and with success, has nice sweeping depth and he locates it very well. Still developing feel for his change up. 6.67 runner in the sixty. Right handed hitter at the plate, hits from an open and relaxed stance with a busy barrel load, has good hand quickness and swings hard, big stride gets him off line and off time frequently, bat speed gives him impact ability and some power. Very good student, verbal commitment to Connecticut.
