Mason Lutz is a 2025 RHP/3B with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Suffern, NY who attends Suffern Senior. Medium frame with a strong build and plenty of time to continue growth. Primary position RHP, working exclusively from the stretch. Sets hands at the belt and works through a shorter arm path into a 3/4 arm angle. Tends to rotate off his front side a bit but showed best stuff when in line at foot strike. Should see FB trend up in velo as he opens up the arm path as he saw his heater peak at 77 mph with above average spin traits. CB with 12-6 shape in the low-60s will trend upward with velo gains. Secondary IF, working through angles deliberately. Methodical overall timing and transfer with fuller arm path here creating throws up to 81 mph. Deep funnel transfer and handled the slow roller fine. RHH working from a wider base and using toe tap trigger as he gets off his backside. Really quick hands and works the middle of the field. Downhill path at times but when on plane showed good strength at contact. As timing cleans up, consistency of hard contact will make a jump. Tremendous student.
