Matthew Cook is a 2025 RHP/2B, MIF, IF, OF, UT with a 5-9 135 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lexington Christian Academy. Medium frame with a lean build showing room to fill out physically down the road. Ran a 8.17 second sixty yard dash. Primary Right-Handed Pitcher, working with a side step to a belt high lift as he coils up on the back side. Does a good job driving down the mound and staying online to target. Medium arm circle in the back and then delivery from a higher slot. Fastball up to 70 mph as he proved he could work both sides of the dish with it. Mixed in a breaking ball showing 11-to-5 movements that he landed for strikes. Will make a velocity jump with a strength gain. Secondary Second Baseman, sitting back on the baseball as he gathers deep in his stance. Scoops it up and then shuffles into transfers. Accurate to the bag as he threw it 73 mph during drills. Right-Handed Hitter, starting from an even stance with high hands. Low leg lift trigger and then strides out. Longer swing path as he stays linear through the zone. Looked to drive the baseball middle-away. Great Student.
