Brian Cook is a 2023 C/1B/OF with a 6-1 215 lb. frame from Lexington, KY who attends Lexington Christian Academy. Big body with lots of strength potential. Right handed hitter, big late leg lift trigger tends to throw off his timing, downhill swing plane from a high hand start, pretty short to the ball with a rotational upper body swing driving the barrel, has the strength to keep improving as a hitter with adjustments. 8.21 runner in the sixty. Young actions behind the plate defensively, can continue to improve his lower half quickness and fundamentals, developing arm strength. Also plays first base. Good student.
