Mac McCormick is a 2023 C/2B, 3B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Cadiz, KY who attends Trigg County. Large frame with a filling out build starting to show some strength. Ran a 8.34 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting up high in the stance during drills in a side-saddle. Carries momentum into receiving the baseball while working toward target. Accurate around the bag with pop times as low as 2.18 seconds. Secondary Second Baseman, good first step working into it with intent. Scoops it up out front working into transfer. Extra steps into release and proved to have some arm strength with throws up to 80 mph. Right-Handed Hitter, even base to start before working into a toe tap stride out. Fires the barrel into the zone with bat speed. Pull-side approach driving the baseball when on a line when he timed it up properly. Also proved to have some power in the swing when he generated backspin. Outstanding Student.
