Chris Longway is a 2022 3B/RHP/2B with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Stillwater, MN who attends Stillwater. Tall and lean athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. Right handed hitter, hits from a spread stance with limited lower half shift into contact, upper body rotational swing, hand path to the ball was good and the barrel is accurate with a mid field to opposite field line drive contact, will continue to improve offensively with lower half adjustments and additional strength. 7.29 runner in the sixty. Stays back on the baseball with third base actions, lower compact arm slot with developing arm strength. Took a turn on the mound and showed better arm strength and a different arm action there, long and full arm circle leading to a 3/4's arm slot, pretty low effort delivery he repeats well. Fastball topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight but spotted well around the strike zone. Also did a good job of landing a short curveball. Challenged hitters and pitched to contact well. Good student.
