2023 Mid-Atlantic Indoor Showcase (Saturday)
Ryan Capobianco is a 2025 OF/RHP, UT with a 5-8 155 lb. frame from Chester Springs, PA who attends Malvern Preparatory. Smaller, lean frame with some quick twitch athleticism and room to physically mature. Recorded a 7.18 second sixty-yard dash time. Primary outfielder with developing defensive skill set. Used deliberate footwork throughout the fielding process, fields off to the side and shuffles into release with some extra steps. Elongated transfer process, lightning quick arm action. Recorded online, accurate throws up to 81 mph during drills. Secondary right-handed pitcher that worked exclusively from the stretch in this look. Incorporates crouched leg lift into balance with drop-and-drive lower half mechanics down the slope. Fastball worked in the 73-76 mph range for the majority of his outing, ticking up in the upper quadrants of the strike zone and topped out at 78 mph in this outing. Ultra-competitor that throws strikes with conviction, works all four quadrants of the zone effectively. Flashed more traditional 12-6 shaped curveball with some abruptness to its bite at times and could develop it into a swing-and-miss offering with additional velocity. Will continue to improve with proper refinements mechanically and additional strength. Right-handed hitter that hits from an even based stance with a tight, flat hand start and small forward stride into launch. Incorporates rotational lower half mechanics to generate bat speed, used the whole field effectively and showed good adjustability with his barrel. Will continue to improve with proper swing adjustments and additional strength. Fundamentally sound defensive skill set with upside on the mound and offensively. Excellent Student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
