Colton Duerling is a 2025 MIF/RHP, 3B, OF with a 5-10 165 lb. frame from Cedar Rapids, IA who attends John F Kennedy. Recorded a 7.26 second sixty yard dash time. Medium frame with strength present. Primary middle infielder with clean angles that fields well moving up the middle. Clean funnel to chest and showed ability to adjust slots. Solid fundamentals. Also threw an inning on the mound. The right-handed pitcher works from a chest-high leg kick with a shorter stride down the mound. Uncoils lower half well. Medium arm action and a true three- quarter arm slot. The fastball (1872 RPM) worked up to 77 and was mid-70s throughout the appearance with occasional two-seam action and good running life. Quality slider (2307 RPM) with some sweep and stays on the horizontal axis well that he could locate in the the zone well. Worked low in zone and some nibbling low and away. Settled in nicely working quickly and getting weak contact. Knows what he's doing on the mound and executed well. Left-handed hitter, starts from an upright stance with high hands and a high back elbow, utilizes a leg lift stride. Direct path. Handsy swing that slots the arm well. Driving it in the air to the left-center field gap and able to work the backside gap with loft in the swing. Intriguing player with good upside on both sides of the ball. Excellent student.
