Bryce Gonyer is a 2022 SS/RHP/IF with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from Marion, TX who attends Marion. Long and slender athletic build with lots of room to get stronger. Right handed hitter, hits from a straight and upright stance, casts his hands out to start his swing, line drive to downward swing path, middle of the field ground ball contact, will continue to improve as a hitter with additional strength. 7.88 runner in the sixty. Tall and upright fielder on defense in the infield, drops his slot well throwing on the move and makes accurate throws with developing arm strength, moves well to his left and has active feet. Also pitched, side step delivery with full hands over the head mechanics and a high leg lift, extended mid-3/4's arm action with some whip to it and good extension out front, pretty low effort operation. Fastball topped out at 76 mph with good running life, really pitched down in the zone well with his fastball and created weak contact. Showed feel for a soft curveball with good depth and consistently landed it for strikes. Good overall effort on the mound.
