Brandon Bertsch is a 2023 LHP/OF with a 5-11 135 lb. frame from Dallas, TX who attends Bishop Lynch. Developing build that stands to drastically improve as he continues to progress. Primary pitcher, has a longer arm action from a high three-quarters slot. Simple and easy delivery down the hill. Stays on line to the plate with an extended release down the mound. Compact motion overall, fastball up to 74 mph and possesses some natural arm side run. Mixes in a 12-to-6 curveball with good depth. From the outfield, fields out in front, clean upon approach, meticulous with his reads off the bat. Understands his footwork and looks to stay low through the baseball. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a simple stride trigger. Still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. Longer overall stroke, looks to use the middle of the field, excellent student in the classroom as well.
