Jase Evangelista is a 2023 RHP with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Riverside, CA who attends Martin Luther King. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and long limbs/frame, strength to lower half with additional room to fill throughout moving forward. Right-handed pitcher, simple and repeats delivery, side step moving into a higher leg lift up past belt, slight hip turn at top and gathers on backside before firing down the mound. Arm works coming through the backside with present arm speed, showed ability to challenge hitters up in the zone with riding life, topped out at 88 mph, velocity projects, occasionally gets on the side of the ball and gives it cutting action. Worked around the zone, flashed a curveball with 12-6 shape and depth, can continue to throw it with more intent and power, lands the pitch for strikes comfortably. High hand set and back elbow at the plate, loads hands back at start of swing, loads weight onto back side, long swing path through the zone, showed some strength and carry to pull side when squared. Good student. Verbal commitment to Arizona State.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
