Jhunior Jose Cordero is a 2030 C/RHP/IF with a 5-10 158 lb. frame from Boca Raton, FL. Medium, athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.40 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher, sets up in a side-saddled stance and gains sufficient ground out of the crouch. Receives the baseball well before separating into a shorter arm path near the ear. Has plenty of evident quickness in his shoulder and lower-half. Delivered accurate throws on the right-side of the bag. Recorded arm strength up to 78 mph with a pop-time of 1.91 sec. Secondary pitcher, operates from a full wind-up delivery with a leg lift up to the belt. Separates into a medium arm path before accelerating into a high 3/4 arm slot. Maintains his direction well and finishes over his front-side. Fastball got in on opposing hitters quickly and ultimately peaked at 85 mph. Mixed in an 11-5 curveball with good depth as well as a changeup at 71 mph. Right-handed batter, starts in an even stance with a low back elbow. Utilizes a simple stride for timing before working into a slightly uphill bat path. Rotates his hips with intent and accelerates the barrel well through impact. Showed feel for creating backspin and carry into the pull-side gap. Posted an exit velocity of 90 mph. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
