Matthan Weaver is a 2025 2B/RHP, SS, OF with a 5-3 100 lb. frame from Sebastopol, MS who attends Leake Academy. He ran a 8.21 second sixty. A primary second baseman with a young lean frame with room to with more maturity. On the infield he showed feel for the glove with his hands working out front before carrying his momentum into his throws with developing arm strength. On the mound he showed a full arm action working to a high three-quarters release point, he sat 61-63 mph with his fastball and projects for more velocity with more consistent use of his lower half, was effective in the zone creating swings and misses and getting weak ground balls. From the left side of the plate he starts with a leg lift trigger timing up his level barrel path working best up the with looseness in the hands and developing bat speed. Good student.
